Details: Used 7" record of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts cover track of Sly & The Family Stone's 1968 song, "Everyday People," b/w "Why Can't We Be Happy" on Blackheart and MCA Records labels. This single (a cover, backed with an original) is from the Blackhearts' third studio album. Conservatively graded. Cover has some wear on it, on front and in Joan's face (near the nose, see images) but otherwise in lovely condition.

Description: "Everyday People" (backed with "Why Can't We Be Happy") was somewhat better received, and came accompanied by a slapstick video in which Jett is plagued by a smoking hair-dryer, a defunct alarm clock, and a collapsing bed. A promotional 7-inch and 12-inch Dance Mix of the song was sent to radio stations; the commercial 12-inch record featured the notorious "Star Star" on the B-side.

Grade: VG (cover) / VG+ (record)
