Everything But The Girl "Walking Wounded" 12" Single (1996)
Details: EBTG 12" Remix single for Walking Wounded, released on Virgin Records, 1996. UK pressing. Some corner bends to the sleeve. Shows light ring wear on the back. Edge and corner wear. The cover front image is glossy, looks good.
Description: "Walking Wounded really took a committed left turn from their previous bossa nova, folk-pop, jazz and orchestral album excursions, as Watt’s inspiration for the album came from creatively inhaling the pulse of London’s up-and-coming drum ‘n’ bass club scene in the mid ‘90s.
In the press statement for the upcoming re-issue (of the album Walking Wounded), Watt explains how the sounds he heard in those clubs late at night were an organic home for Thorn’s emotive alto vocals. “I was immediately inspired,” he remembers. “It was like a futuristic Brazilian sound. The mix of high-tuned propulsive drums, late-night samples and low sub bass just seemed to leave a big plangent hole in the middle, and in it I pictured Tracey's voice.”"
