Tom Tom Club "Tom Tom Club" LP (1981)
Details: This is the Tom Tom Club's debut studio album that was recorded in The Bahamas. The band had no idea (other than a beginning framework for Wordy Rappinghood) what they would record for this album when they were asked to do so. They thought they would figure it out when they got there: and luckily, for them, it did come together! This album was recorded with Steven Stanley (Talking Heads, Black Uhuru) at Compass Point Studios. This is a nice little original copy, the album was repressed 8 times in the US alone, and this is the Winchester Pressing on Sire. It has definite signs of shelf-wear but is still sturdy, and the album inside is graded conservatively at VG. A bit of a loved-up copy, but fun to have around and play a lot (we hope that's what you are planning to do with it)!
