"United States post-hardcore band founded 1991 in Tumwater/ Olympia, Washington and disbanded in 2002." Justin Trosper, Sara Lund (Corin Tucker), Vern Rumsey (b.1973-d.2020 Rumsey recently sadly passed away but was also well-known for his work in several other bands including but not limited to Survival Knife, Fitz of Depression, Witchypoo, etc., as well as his personal label started in 1994, Punk In My Vitamins). Numero Group recently did a number of Unwound reissues and box sets and this album was one of the albums in the reissue groups.

Description: "An album Maximum Rock 'N' Roll deemed not punk enough to review, Unwound’s 1994 sophomore effort was a lethal depth charge aimed at major label grunge and independent hardcore alike. From the off-kilter, vertiginous rhythm of “Entirely Different Matters” to the neck-snapping velocity of “What Was Wound” to the relentless pounding at the end of “All Souls Day,” New Plastic Ideas is the Sonic Youth loving older sister to Fake Train's post-punk-obsessed little brother."
