Tammy Wynette "The First Lady" LP (1970)
Details: Tammy Wynette, The First Lady, released in 1970 on Epic Records (Stereo). Very light wear on the album cover, but shows VG-rated wear on the album itself: does not diminish listenability on this 1970s Country gem.
Description: "When both The First Lady and We Sure Can Love Eachother were released, in both 1970 and 1971, Tammy Wynette was the hottest property in Country music having won the Country Music Association's Female Vocalist Of The Year awards in 1968, 1969, and 1970. The First Lady includes the No. 1 single 'Run, Woman, Run.' Both The First Lady and We Sure Can Love Each Other were produced by Billy Sherrill and feature background vocals by The Jordanaires. In 1998, Tammy Wynette was finally, and posthumously, inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame (having sold more than 30 million records, and reached No. 1 some twenty times). Ms. Wynette was also the first female country artist to sell one million albums."--
