Bricks "The Getting Wet Part" Single (1992)
Details: Single that later appeared on the compilation album, "A Microphone and a Box of Dirt," released on Merge in 1992. Bricks only released three singles and a cassette tape. The band was members Superchunk/Portastatic, Tsunami, and Spy Kitty, along with Laura Cantrell. Really neat die-cut design, black vinyl.
Description: An early lo-fi home-recording project of Mac McCaughan (Superchunk, Portastatic), Andrew Webster (Tsunami, Piper Cub), Laura Cantrell, and Josh Phillips.
The sleeve is horizontally folded with a die-cut star on the front. There is a purple printed insert that can be seen through the star cutout. The leftover star was printed with Merge catalog info. Pressed on black, and yellow, vinyl. Side A to be played at 45 RPM, side B to be played at 33 ⅓ RPM. Recorded on 4 track cassette early 1990, in New York City.
