Details: Toyah & Fripp “The Lady Or The Tiger” released in 1986 on Editions EG. Corner sticker wear (top-left) and very light shelf-wear on cover. Record has light pops-clicks but does not overpower music or narrative. Fans of fantasy will thrill at this engaging story of knights and princesses read by 80s new wave singer Toyah, featuring background sonic expressions and experimentation by musician Robert Fripp (also featuring the mysteriously named ‘League of Crafty Guitarists’).

Description: “Toyah’s first collaboration with Robert Fripp consists of Toyah providing two spoken word readings of prose by Frank R. Stockton over soundscapes by Robert Fripp & The League of Crafty Guitarists.

The story The Lady Or The Tiger? features on “Side 1” of the vinyl and cassette accompanying music by Robert Fripp; “Side 2” contains The Discourager Of Hesitancy / The Encourager Of Precipitation accompanying music by Robert Fripp featuring The League of Crafty Guitarists. Tony Geballe would go on to write the songs REENTRY Into Dance and Sun Up with Toyah in a Guitar Craft workship and they were used on the single Moonlight Dancing. Tony Geballe in addition to another Crafty Guitarist Trey Gunn would form the band line-up for Toyah’s solo album Ophelia’s Shadow released in early 1991 Produced for Editions EG in aid of Claymont Children’s School.”
